Nickelback’s tour, “Feed The Machine”, required a stage that conveyed a visual language for their 2017 album of the same name. Their grungy, edgy style mixed with hard-edge, futuristic machinery provided a perfect marriage of visual styles that accented and enhanced their live performances. I was tasked with initial design iterations, going back and forth with the band to ensure that vision became a physical reality. The timeline for iteration, refinement, and rendering was short but intentional. A unique solution of pipes, machinery, and systemic lighting to create a ubiquitous art style was created, and Nickleback toured the globe on the fully modular stage.
